The Pathways Credo
I strive at all times, in deeds, thoughts and communications, to uphold my core values of RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY & AWARENESS.
To myself, my family, my community, my colleagues, the environment, to future generations and to our ancestors.
With gratitude, it is my vision and undertaking to initiate and make available, with like minded people, high quality Rites of Passage programs, events and opportunities for communities and individuals.
I honour the presence and value of the feminine and the masculine in all I do.
I acknowledge and invite diversity of beliefs, opinions and cultures.
I empower others through open communication, transparency and invitation to participate in decision making.
Fair, just and equitable dealings, is how I do business.
I am inspired by fearless, mindful and authentic honesty. I encourage constructive and compassionate feedback and input within the Pathways communities.
I endeavour to see, to listen, acknowledge and celebrate the beauty and strengths in each other and those I serve.
I honour my elders, their knowledge, wisdom and experience, and those whom have long held this work.
I am proactive in looking out for each other, providing support and loving encouragement in our challenges and frailties.
It is my practice to remain open to change through evolution, transition and refinement.
I regard time for silence, stillness and reflection, as essential as timely actions.
I honour the veil of mystery, which informs and sustains the ceremonial and ritual nature of the work I do and promote. This includes what I think I know, what I do not yet know and that which I can never know.
I acknowledge and foster the right of every human being to choose and pursue their own spiritual journey.
“May we create a vehicle so beautiful they will be drawn irresistibly to it, and so flawed they won’t be able to keep their hands off it!” Pathways Elder, Don Bowak ‘Raven’
